The Career Trajectory of Haroldo Jacobovicz, the Founder of Horizons Telecom Company
Haroldo Jacobovicz is a Brazilian-based professional civil engineer and entrepreneur. Mr. Haroldo is famously known for his CEO position at Horizons Telecom, which he founded in 2010. Mr. Haroldo has been involved in several tech companies for the last three decades as a civil engineer. Haroldo’s educational background started in 1979 when he joined the Federal University of Parana, where he pursued a degree in civil engineering and graduated in 1983. However, before completing his studies at the Federal University of Parana, Haroldo Jacobovicz, together with his three friends, partnered up and created Microsystems, an Information Technology company. Mr. Haroldo created Microsystems with his focus on providing IT services to supermarkets, Pharmacies and stores. Unfortunately, Haroldo closed down his company after he realized that IT technology had not been fully embraced at the time. However, Mr. Haroldo stated that he gained relevant experience as an entrepreneur and leader.
Later in 1985, Haroldo Jacobovicz pivoted his entrepreneurial activities to working at a multinational oil distribution company known as Exxon Mobil Corporation, previously known as the Esso Team. Among the 200 engineers chosen for the Esso Team, Mr. Haroldo stood as the best candidate for the reserve salesman position. After a year or so, Mr. Haroldo returned to Curitiba, where he worked as an advisor to the Technical Board at the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Haroldo Jacobovicz is also known to be the founder of Minauro Company, which maintained and leased computers. The Minauro Company has been up and running in Brazil for the last thirty years and currently offers services such as providing health and education products and tax management. Minauro Company has acquired several other companies including, Perform, Sisteplan, and Consult. Haroldo Jacobovicz established Horizons Telecom with the help of other engineers, and it is currently the best telecommunication supply company in Brazil.
